Ok guys, I gotta tell ya I'll eat about anything my wife puts in front of me, but my wife's spaghetti is totally awesome!!! It's pretty spicy, so you may want to cut back on the red pepper and use regular Italian sausage.Ingredients | Primo Piatto Spaghetti1 pound spicy Italian sausage¼ cup white wine½ onion, chopped½ cup sliced mushrooms½ green bell pepper, chopped¼ cup red wine¼ cup Italian seasoning1 teaspoon crushed red pepper6 bay leaves1 teaspoon dried oregano1 teaspoon onion powder1 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon dried basil1 pinch dried rosemary1 teaspoon ground allspice1 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon dried thyme½ teaspoon dried sage½ teaspoon dried marjoram6 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste¼ cup brown sugar¼ cup confectioners' sugarDirectionsPlace sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.In a large pot combine white wine, onion, mushrooms and bell pepper. Cook on medium heat until vegetables are tender. Stir in red wine, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, bay leaves, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, rosemary, allspice, salt, thyme, sage, marjoram, tomato sauce, tomato paste and sausage.
